Dr. Colby H. Yamamoto was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a graduate of Punahou School. He attended Pacific University where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and later a Doctorate of Optometry degree. In his younger years, Dr. Yamamoto worked as an optometric technician. The time, care, and attention the doctor provided his patients yielded happy, long-lasting and trusting doctor-patient friendships. Dr. Yamamoto aspired to develop the same trust with his patients. After graduating from Pacific University, Dr. Yamamoto gained several years of experience in a surgical co-management setting managing a wide array of ocular disease. He brings a wealth of knowledge to help treat patients of all ages and backgrounds. Hawaii Vision Associates is honored to have Dr. Yamamoto who strives daily to provide high-quality eye and vision care with every patient he encounters. In his free-time, Dr. Yamamoto enjoys an active lifestyle and can be found hiking, paddle boarding, running, or playing with his dogs.
